Love this track! I studied some old Bill Evans piano chords because I just always admired and cherished his phrasing and musical intellectual independence. So, yes, I lifted some of his chords, made them my own and there was the skeleton of the tune. A guy named Terry Tuck came to my attention and I heard some stuff he was playing on and I flipped out. I sought him out and asked him to play bass on this tune. He wrote his own part and brought life to the skeleton! Then, I chased down Pittsburgh guitar legend Ken Karsh (I've known and idolized him since I was 16 years old). I gave Ken carte blanch as well and he too turned in a stellar performance.
