about

This album is a tribute to the late Dr. John E. Mack of Harvard University (Department Head & Professor of Psychiatry). Dr. Mack was also Chief of Psychiatry at Cambridge Hospital. He co-founded Physicians for Social Responsibility against nuclear proliferation & war. In 1977, he won the Pulitzer Prize for Literature for the book, "A Prince of Our Disorder". The book was about T.E. Lawrence aka Lawrence of Arabia.

Dr. Mack also wrote the best selling books Abduction and Passport To The Cosmos. He believed the stories of hundreds of people from around the world who claimed to be abducted by aliens. He interviewed them all at length and found no mental illness or psychosis. He has been quoted as saying that the communication between alien beings and human abductees were not a result of verbal communication. They communicated with "vibrations". Hence, the title of this album.

I met Dr. Mack a few times and was a dinner guest in his home. There is a big space in my heart for this tremendous soul. He was a fascinating man. I have never met anyone as completely comfortable in his own skin. His son Kenny was my roommate in music college and that is how I came to know this delightful family. Dr. Mack, wherever you are, this album is for you...
