ladyhadassah I’ve been following Mr Ruttenberg for years. His music has always been appealing to jazz afficionados but this is, in my humble opinion, his finest work. He is already an accomplished and sophisticated musician, but this latest album is a masterpiece. Really, his Magnum Opus. It is truly refreshing and eventuates in a mesmerising spiritual crescendo. Captivating. Deftly executed, and resplendent in its motivation. Bravissimo! Baruch HaSh-m. Favorite track: Teshuvah.

rabbi_aryel It has been a privilege and the pleasure working with Richard on this project. I knew he could accomplish what I had envisioned, even if it took him close to 5 years to realize it himself. He surpassed my expectations! Favorite track: Kibutz Geluyot.
EW&F FOREVER thumbnail
EW&F FOREVER Quite possibly the hippest, most meaningful set of tunes to help deepen the experience of saying the daily prayers one could hope for these days. The intro by the Rabbi was helpful, too. Ruttenberg purposely didn't over produce the compositions and kept things simple so as not to dominate the thoughts of the person praying. Smart smart smart. I'll be sending this album as a gift to family & friends. Favorite track: Binyan Yerushalaim.

Shlomo Silverman A magical journey, mystical, I've waited for this album to appear for my morning meditations for a long time. It consistently and gently guides my emotions and thoughts in a prayerful direction, a journey that never ends. Play, listen, repeat.
It involks visions of foreign lands and people with all the sights and sounds of Humanity, and the movement of Spirit, The force of will, Love and tranquility that we all seek shines through each and every track. An absolute masterpiece.

Rabbi Aryel Nachman ben Chaim had the idea and concept for this album for over 5 years. He would often broach the subject of making a recording for the daily benedictions and I always told him no. Why? Because I was completely intimidated by the idea of writing and recording 19 original songs with the sole purpose of hopefully deepening the experience of religious Jews while they study the daily prayers. Well, after all it was Rabbi Nachman who said these prayers should be said with a song in one's heart.

Finally, after years of going back and forth, and with the urging of a classmate from the Rabbi's weekly online study hall, a Mr. Shlomo Silverman, I agreed to give it a shot with the understanding I am no Mozart or Mussorgsky!

Well, as it turns out, I surprised myself and could not be more proud of these original compositions. I worked very hard on these songs non stop for a month straight, about 10 to 12 hours a day. The songs are really great, if I may be so bold, and the quality of the recordings are spectacular. We hope you will support the arts, spread the word, and purchase this magnificent download to your iPhone, iPad, computer, or any electronic device that holds music.
Thank you kindly,
Richard D. Ruttenberg
